Locago is continuously being tested on different phones. You can now use Locago on seventeen different models from Nokia and Sony. In the coming weeks we will add more models from several phone suppliers. The complete list of supported phones can be found under Get started. Although your phone is not listed we still invite you to download Locago. If your phone is not too old and runs with Java, Locago should most probably work. Alternatively you can choose at download to be notified when your phone is guaranteed to work with Locago.

Idevio launches Locago, the first open mobile map browser
Göteborg, Sweden, February 11, 2008. Idevio,
a leading provider of web and mobile map solutions announces today the
launch of Locago, the first free mobile map browser with an
open interface to third party content and services. The
simple and intuitive interface, much like a web browser, presents a
clear picture of your surroundings, automatically activating the GPS
and turn-by-turn navigation when needed.

Locago and the base content is a free service for consumers,
ideal for applications such as travel guides, friend tracking, and
local news services among others. The users have the option to buy
premium content and services online such as city guides, traffic
cameras , Wi-Fi access etc. Locago features global, detailed maps from
Tele Atlas, a leading global provider of digital maps and dynamic
content for navigation and location-based solutions.

With Locago anyone can publish and share valuable content,
climbing spots in France, bird spotting, club guides etc. Locago also
offers branding opportunities and more advanced functionalities for
commercial content providers, telecom operators and handset
manufacturers. In this way Locago is able to increase product value,
increase retention and leverage new sales channels through a low
initial investment.

Locago will be showcased for the first time at the Mobile World
Congress, in hall 2, booth no 2B69, on February 11th 2008 in
Barcelona, Spain. Locago will be available to the public in selected
markets later in the second quarter, 2008.

During the spring Locago will feature trials with selected
content partners. Eniro, the leading Nordic search company, is
currently integrated for trial purposes with people and business
directories. Telia Sonera, the leading Nordic and Baltic telecom
operator, is included with pilots of the TeliaSonera's surf zones for
Wi-Fi in Sweden. MyScoop, enables local search and use of community
photo and video content with Locago. In addition, Locago provides
local search in Wikipedia and many sources, commercial and in the
public domain.

Locago is based on advanced, patented geospatial technology
that enables a user experience beyond the ordinary in limited devices.
In order to increase performance and minimize data cost for the user
the map data is highly compressed and streamed to the device. The
technology enables pre-loading of maps over vast areas into the memory
card. In Locago third party content and services are presented in
separate layers that are dynamically loaded and configured, so that
new sources and information can be provided without a software update.
